Higher speeds, accelerations and more exciting designs require more advanced technology to implement and Linear Motors, now used in theme parks all over the world have proved successful in revolutionising the roller coaster industry.

Linear Motors can allow the trains to reach incredibly high speeds in a fraction of the time of previous roller coasters as well as putting them through previously unforeseen fast maneuvers, the limits of which are more likely to be human tolerance rather than technological limits. Maintenance time and costs are largely reduced as is energy usage.
